A heritage walk has been organized at Parvati Hills on May 12, 2024, at 9 AM. This scenic location offers visitors a panoramic view of Pune, making it an ideal spot for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The event, conducted in association with Worship Earth Foundation, Club Heritage, and the Department of History at Desai College, will guide participants through the 108 steps leading to the temple.
Participants will learn about the historical and cultural significance of Parvati Hills and the Parvati Temple, exploring the architectural marvels and the legacy of the Peshwa dynasty. The walk promises an enriching experience, combining physical activity with historical education. With Maharashtra Times as the media partner, the event aims to reach a wide audience of heritage enthusiasts. Due to the limited capacity, registration is required, and only small groups will be allowed to ascend the hill at a time after the first 100 registrants. Additional sessions will be organized if needed.
