Heritage Walk at the historic building of Prarthana Samaj in Budhwar Peth on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This event offers a unique opportunity to understand the significant contributions of Prarthana Samaj in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, particularly in relation to the elimination of caste discrimination, promotion of widow remarriage, banning of child marriage, dissemination of women’s education, and the pada system. Esteemed scholars, Professor Dr. Dilip Jog and Professor Dr. Sushma Jog, will provide in-depth insights on these important social reforms.
Participants will explore the pivotal role of Prarthana Samaj in shaping progressive social change in India. The walk will take place in the historic building of Prarthana Samaj, located in Budhwar Peth, Pune.
