Heritage Walk: Discovering the Historical Vitthal-Rukmini Temple

A Heritage Walk took place at the historical Vitthal-Rukmini Temple in Vitthalwadi on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 9 AM. This event highlighted Pune’s rich heritage of temples, focusing on the significant historical and cultural value of the Vitthal-Rukmini Temple. The walk was guided by Hon. Kumar Gosavi, the trustee of the temple and former MLA, along with Professor Jyoti Ganesh Raut, who provided insightful commentary on the temple’s history and significance.

Participants had the opportunity to explore the architectural and cultural heritage of the Vitthal-Rukmini Temple, learning about its historical context and the traditions associated with it. The event, organized by Worship Earth Foundation in collaboration with Club Heritage and the Department of History at Desai College, offered a deep dive into the temple’s past and its role in the community.

We believe that understanding and appreciating such historical sites is crucial for preserving our cultural heritage.
