Heritage Walk: Exploring the Art and Architecture of the Satavahana Period
A Heritage Walk took place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Shantaben Auditorium of Haribhai V. Desai College. The event featured a visual and auditory program showcasing the art and architecture of the Satavahana period. Esteemed historian Chetan Sathe led the presentation, offering detailed insights into the cultural and architectural achievements of the Satavahana dynasty. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. Ganesh Raut, the Director of the College’s Heritage Center.
Participants were treated to a comprehensive exploration of the Satavahana period, known for its rich contributions to Indian art and architecture. Through a blend of visual presentations and auditory explanations, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the historical significance and artistic excellence of this era. Organized by Worship Earth Foundation in collaboration with Club Heritage and the Department of History at Desai College, the event aimed to provide an enriching educational experience.
