Voter Awareness Rally: Promoting Electoral Participation in Pune
On February 24, 2023, the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) in association with Worship Earth Foundation held a Voter Awareness Rally in the Kasba-215 and Chinchwad-205 constituencies of Pune. The rally saw a massive turnout from students of various colleges and schools, along with the presence of eminent guests such as Mr. Srikant Deshpande, Chief Electoral Officer of Maharashtra; Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, District Collector & DEO of Pune; Mr. Parag Mate, Founder of WE Foundation; Mr. Tejas Gujarathi, CEO of WE Foundation; and Mr. Ajay Pawar, Deputy Collector.
The event was organized to emphasize the importance of voting and to create awareness among voters about their rights and responsibilities. The participants, including students and distinguished guests, engaged in vibrant activities to highlight the significance of exercising one’s fundamental right to vote.

Our vision is to foster a community that is well-informed about their electoral rights and responsibilities, thereby contributing to a thriving and healthy democracy. The Voter Awareness Rally aimed to engage and educate the public, especially the youth, about the power and impact of their vote. By organizing this rally, we sought to create a ripple effect of awareness and active participation in the electoral process.
The mission of this rally was to bring together students, educators, and community leaders to advocate for voter awareness and participation. Through the involvement of key figures such as the Chief Electoral Officer and the District Collector, we aimed to lend credibility and urgency to the message of electoral engagement. Our objective was to inspire every participant to become an ambassador of democracy, urging their peers and communities to vote and make their voices heard in every election.
