A Heritage Walk took place at Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11 AM, marking the completion of 114 years since the establishment of the Indian History Research Council. This event highlighted the significant contributions of the council in the field of historical research in India. The walk was guided by Prof. Dr. Raja Dixit, the former chairman of the Encyclopedia Board, who reviewed the extensive work and achievements of the council. Additionally, Pandurang Balakwade, the secretary of the board, led participants on a tour of the school, museum, and library associated with the council.
Participants had the opportunity to explore the historical archives, learn about the council’s research methodologies, and gain insights into the rich history preserved at Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal. The event, organized by Worship Earth Foundation in collaboration with Club Heritage and the Department of History at Desai College, provided an in-depth look at the council’s pivotal role in documenting and preserving India’s historical legacy.
