On June 5, 2024, a significant event was held to celebrate World Environment Day, organized by the Central Bureau of Communications under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pune Municipal Corporation, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan Pune, Worship Earth Foundation, Kaveri International School, and IMERT College, Karve Nagar. The day commenced with a tree plantation drive at IMERT Mahavidyalaya, where dignitaries and participants planted trees to enhance green cover. This was followed by a cleanliness campaign that engaged college staff, students, and local residents in maintaining environmental hygiene.
The event saw the presence of key figures including Pune Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Shinde, Assistant Commissioner Vijay Naikal, Assistant Health Officer Dr. Ketaki Ghatge, Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Ashish Shete, Director of IMERT College Dr. Shubhangi Ramaswamy, Amrapali Chavan from Worship Earth Foundation, Gautami Pandey from Kaveri International School, and Harshal Akude from Central Communications Bureau.
