Mr. Parag Mate, spearheading the CSR at BCIPL, has been a conscious citizen through his strategic and transparent business plans incorporating CSR activities for the scoiety’s betterment. He has been awarded and felicitated for his social work for supporting, encouraging and empowering citizens regarding Indian culture, sports, education as well as civic awareness.
1.Cleaning of Mula and Mutha rivers
i. One of his recent accolades has been the group formation of WE, under which there are various projects but the one to top it is the movement was that conducted on 2nd October, 2019 (7.30am)on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti where at least 20,000 citizens from different walks of life participated actively.
ii. An event My River My Valentine was held at NFAI, Pune in February, 2019 where over 80 videos made by students on cleaning rivers of Pune were received. The event also involved a unique Recycled Garbage Costume Fashion Show.
iii. The Pune Municipal Corporation has also recognised the efforts of WE by certification of participation for SWACHATA with PUNERI SWAG.
A firm believer of team work, Mr. Parag Mate very indigenously follows the learnings from the prestigious Paie Palkhi Sohla of The Great Shivaji Maharaj that began in 2013.He considers himself closer to nature and insists on careful utilization of natural resources.
2.WE Application
Another dream project turning into reality for Mr. Mate, is a socio-civic digital application called WE app. The mobile applicationallows people to be connected for sharing suggestions, help and solutions to the various societal/civic issues.
