पर्वतीच्या रंजक इतिहासाची उजळणी
‘वर्शिप अर्थ फाउंडेशन’, ‘क्लब हेरिटेज’ आणि ‘एच. व्ही. देसाई महाविद्यालया’चा इतिहास विभाग यांच्यातर्फे हेरिटेज वॉक या उपक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. ‘महाराष्ट्र टाइम्स’ हा या उपक्रमाचा मीडिया पार्टनर आहे.पुण्यातील आणि पर्वतीवरील सर्वांत जुना सजीव म्हणजे चाफ्याचे झाड. त्याचा इसवी १८९४ मधला
फोटो आणि प्रत्यक्ष हा वृक्ष पाहून वारसाप्रेमी थक्क झाले. या वृक्षासह पर्वतीवरील वैविध्यपूर्ण मंदिरे, त्यांचा इतिहास आणि स्थित्यंतरांची माहिती वनस्पतीशास्त्राचे अभ्यासक प्रा. प्र. के. घाणेकर यांनी दिली.
प्रवेशद्वारावरील भैरवाच्या मूर्ती, फरसबंदीने रुंदावलेले चौरस अंगण, त्यावरील घडीव दगडी बांधकामाचे चौथरे आणि वास्तुरचनेची माहिती दिली. पंचायतन पूजापद्धत, सदरेतील गणपती, शंकर आणि पार्वतीमाता, श्रीगजानन यांच्या सोन्या-चांदीतील मूर्ती, कळस, जामदारखाना, तळघर, श्रीमंत पेशव्यांचा वाडा, कार्तिकस्वामी मंदिर, विष्णुमंदिर याची माहितीही घाणेकर यांनी दिली.
