The 2023 edition witnessed remarkable participation, with esteemed guests such as Mr. James Pulham, Mr. Shrikant Deshpande (Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra), Mr. Rajesh Deshmukh (Collector, Pune), Dr. Dnyaneshwar Muley (Former IFS Diplomat & Author), Mr. Parag Mate (Founder, WE Foundation), and Mr. Raj Deshmukh (Co-Founder, WE Foundation) gracing the event. Their inspiring words emphasized unity, culture, and responsibility towards Mother Earth.

The event also saw strong collaborations with Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Election Commission of Maharashtra (ELC), Pune University, NSS, and NYKS, making it a collective step toward sustainable change. Volunteers, students, and citizens came together for river clean-up activities, awareness sessions, and cultural performances, creating a heartfelt impact.

Mission & Vision

Our esteemed guest James Pulham beautifully highlighted the connection between the Māori culture of New Zealand and India, where people are seen as custodians of the land and protectors of Mother Earth. Echoing this, our founder Parag Mate shared his heartfelt vision: “If a foreign friend visits India and asks me to show a river, how can I show the present state of the Mula-Mutha? In our childhood, we joyfully bathed in village rivers — but can we dream of doing the same in our city rivers today?” These reflections resonate deeply with our mission and vision at Worship Earth Foundation — to restore, protect, and revive our rivers and environment so that future generations may once again experience rivers as sources of life, purity, and pride.My River My Valentine envisions a sustainable future where rivers are cherished as the lifelines of culture, community, and environment. Our mission is to unite citizens, students, government bodies, and organizations in a collective effort to conserve and rejuvenate rivers.
